Most climbers visiting the remote location of Hueco Tanks are traveling on a tight budget. Our campground and supply shop is set up to accommodate this.
Location
The campground is located 1 mile outside the Hueco Tanks park entrance gate on the main road at 6011 Hueco Tanks Rd. This allows climbers to quickly and easily get in line on busy seasonal days.
Bad Roads
Hueco Tanks is located in a remote desert ranch community. The main road leading to the park is paved. However side roads are dirt and some are in very poor condition. Climbers with low clearance vehicles and or RV type vehicles typically avoid traveling these dirt roads. Especially repeatedly. We are located on the main paved road leading into the park. This helps avoid unnecessary wear and tear on your vehicle and other issues.
Gas
The nearest gas station is 15 miles away. Our camp is strategically set up close to the park to help save gas. The total round trip driving distance from our camp to the park is 4 miles. This is ideal for climbers visiting the park on a regular basis.
Community
We have a friendly tight nit climbing community camp. Which makes it easy to ask questions, get beta and find guides for going on back country tours in the park. This can be challenging in other remote locations and when staying in the city.
Signals
Cell phone signals can be very sporadic in this region. Fortunately our campground is located in a pass between both east and west mountain ranges. So most cell phone services work well. Currently the best signal is Verizon.
Wifi
We know it’s important to have a good wifi signal. We have two levels of service. Basic free 150Mbps or a Premium business level 300Mbps for a small daily or weekly fee. Devices can be charged in our Club House.

Spotter Bouldering Gear Factory
We have a full service bouldering gear factory located in our building. Crash Pads, Accent Mats, Chalk Bags & Buckets, Knee Pads, Packs-Bags and many other items are manufactured right here at Hueco Tanks.
Sewing Repair Shop

Radio Programming & Repair Services
Certified radio technician on site. We sell, service and program VHF radios used for park communications.
