Are Pets Allowed at Hueco Tanks?
Hueco Tanks State Park & Historical Site does not allow pets in the mountain areas. Having a pet can be problematic when visting Hueco Tanks. Especially for long durations. We allow pets for an additional charge. However there are no kennels for pets to stay in.
Hueco Tanks is not a pet friendly park.
Hueco Tanks Park Policy
Pets can only walk on paved surfaces and on the picnic area trail. They must be on leash. Do not leave pets alone in a vehicle.
Don’t leave pets in your car. Just letting everyone know the park called the Sheriff when our dog stayed in the van. It was 72 degress all day and windows were cracked.
If you’re dog is a Service Dog with paperwork it’s allowed.
